Welcome to the home of Adjustabail - the innovative way to hang your glass art! Designed for a glass artist, Adjustabail is the answer to the comment frequently made about glass art - 'It's lovely, but how do I hang it up?' Now you have the solution! Carefully designed, the components are strong and discreet in use.
Adjustabail is manufactured (in the UK) in three sizes - Mini, Midi and Maxi. Mini is available in standard and self adhesive versions (no glue - yippee). Each of these are designed to work for different sizes and weights of panel and cast glass. Previously your only option has been metal supports or stand-offs - very visible and often requiring drilling holes through the panel - a risky and expensive process.
Adjustabail is a very cost effective solution for hanging your glass. You only need one Adjustabail per piece of work. The slugs, brackets and fixings are supplied both as a kit and separately so you can give a bracket to your customer. The gallery that exhibits your work can use a bracket to display your panels and keep spares for their clients. The Midi and Maxi are also perfect for hanging ceramic wall art!
Adhesives We have used the Loctite Hysol product below effectively, so we can supply it if you need it. It comes with instructions and manufacturer's data sheet. You can also view that information by clicking on the link below. It is our choice because it is crystal clear and uv stable. Other epoxies will work, but some are clear with a yellow tint, or slightly opaque. It is very important that you follow the adhesive instructions correctly otherwise your adhesive joint strength may be compromised. Also, epoxies have a shelf life - check the use by date and don't use out of date epoxy.
A 6mm thick glass panel weighs approximately 1.75 grams per square centimetre. Example: A 30cm x 40cm panel would weigh 30 x 40 x 1.75 = 2100gm = 2.1kg
Please contact becky@adjustabail.co.uk for more information or if you have a question.
Adjustabail is protected by EC Design Registration 001294383-0001 and is Patent Pending. |

These dichroic glass pendants have been teamed up with small glass beads which compliment the colours in the main pendant.

I am often asked for stud earrings to match a dichroic glass pendant - and trying the make something to match an existing piece is quite tricky! So, I made these sets to satisfy those of you who like to have a matching pair of stud earrings. They are designed, cut and fused along with the pendant in the same firing - which is the most successful way of ensuring a good match.

We use sterling silver findings for all our earrings, although we do make a range of studs and dangly earrings on 9ct gold - contact us for prices if you are unable to wear silver and would prefer 9ct gold findings.

Dates for workshops can be found in each section below. I only have four students per session, so they tend to get full up quite quickly. If you have a group of four who are interested, I may be able to arrange a special date that is not on the list. Because of the small size of the classes, they are flexible enough to accommodate beginners and experienced students together. I can also arrange more advanced classes on a one-to-one basis if you are already an experienced fuser- contact us for details.

My 17 year old daughter Nina loves to think up unique jewellery items - she has hand-picked a range of products that she believes will appeal to everyone. Everything is chosen to be fun, affordable and good quality too. Not forgetting the boys, the guitar plectrum pendants are designed to be unisex.

Gecko Glass is the creation of Josh Wills. Josh started flame working at the age of sixteen as a means of relaxing during revision for exams. Josh's fascination with the flame led him to start working with borosilicate (pyrex) glass - and the captivating alchemy of borosilicate striking colours. With names such as Triple Passion, Havana Moon Lite and Loki's Lipstick....who could resist? Borosilicate glass requires a greater degree of heat to work it than soft glass, working at temperatures of up to 2000 degrees centigrade. Unlike bead making Josh works off mandrel, only using glass rod to make his pendants, and it can take hours to make some of the intricate designs.
Fuming the glass involves using a piece of pure silver or 22 carat gold in the flame to create fabulous colours within the clear glass or enhance other colours.
Although mainly self taught, Josh did a master class with Julie Anne Denton and at the 2008 International Festival of Glass he was a student on Shane Fero's master class. In 2009 he travelled to Salem College in New Jersey for the International Flame working conference and met some renowned flame working artists such as Paul Stankard, Milon Townsend and Robert Mickelson. He also visited San Francisco and did a master class with Scott Deppe. Josh also makes stunning marbles, and we will up load some photos of these as soon as possible. Each one of Josh's pendants is an entirely unique piece of art - a delight to wear - tactile and beautiful.
