Workshop Courses

Dates for workshops can be found in each section below. I only have four students per session, so they tend to get full up quite quickly. If you have a group of four who are interested, I may be able to arrange a special date that is not on the list. Because of the small size of the classes, they are flexible enough to accommodate beginners and experienced students together. I can also arrange more advanced classes on a one-to-one basis if you are already an experienced fuser- contact us for details.

 Jewellery Workshop

Learn how to make stunning dichroic cabochons and turn them into pendants, earrings, cufflinks or brooches. This class is designed to be a fun and creative day to relax and enjoy or as a stepping stone to an exciting new hobby. The emphasis is on making lovely things and developing your own unique style. You will leave equipped with enough information and enthusiasm to continue on your own if you wish to.

 Panel Workshop

Learn how to make panels to bring the beauty of glass into your home or as a very special gift for someone else. In one day you will make several pieces using different techniques and learn the best way to display them. Enjoy the therapeutic effect of making something that you will enjoy for years to come, or create a wedding or birthday gift that is entirely unique.

 Weekend Workshop

Over a two day workshop, you can learn more about the processes of turning two-dimensional pieces into vessels and bowls. The extra day allows for you to experience a kiln firing and witness the 'before and after' of assembling your pieces and the effects of the firing process at first hand. Detailed feedback can be given regarding design and colour ideas.

What people say about our workshops

Here is some of the feedback and comments we receive from people who have been to one (or quite often more than one) of our workshop courses:

Gemma and Stephen - We attended the jewelry course in april as complete beginners. The day was more than i could have expected. We had an amazing time, the company was fantastic and learnt a great deal. I was so interested in the process that i am looking into taking it up as a hobby for myself. Becky herself is a lovely lady that spends time teaching you carefully and you can tell she has a great talent for jewelry making. I recommend the course to everyone and anyone. Overall an enjoyable day, I will be back!!

Jade - 'I found the day relaxing and enjoyable with the added bonus of learning something new and inspiring. Thank you for a lovely day, i very much enjoy wearing the pieces I made especially in the knowledge that I made it'

Gail - I thoroughly enjoyed the jewellery workshop. Becky gave just the right blend of tuition, supervision and support whilst allowing freedom to be creative. When my finished items arrived and I opened the box, I could hardly believe I had made something so exciting and beautiful. I have already booked to come back, this time with 3 of my friends who have admired my jewellery (as many others have!) and who can't wait to have a go themselves!

Chris - I was very pleased with the content of the course and the help that Becky gave me so I could produce two panels of which I must say I'm very proud. As a man, I went on the course, not sure if I could put the the colours together but I didn't need to worry. Becky gave me all the answers I needed and so much encouragement. So, come on all you men out there!! Give it a try. You will surprise yourselves.

Greta - This is a very informative and enjoyable course, set in wonderful and picturesque surroundings. Becky could not have been kinder or more welcoming and seeing her own beautiful artwork is truly inspirational and has spurred me on to try some different techniques. My only regret was when the day came to a close as I was having so much fun. I would be delighted to recommend this course to students of all levels and abilities.

Vikki -Both courses I’ve been on have been fantastic, I’ve learned a lot and met some really nice like-minded people. When I can scrape the money together I’ll be getting my own kiln to continue the bug

Hannah - Thoroughly enjoyable day - great teaching, relaxed atmosphere and amazing results - who'd have thought I could make all my Christmas presents in one day!!

Kelly - A relaxing day, was able to work at my own pace whilst being given support and encouragement. You got me started on a new hobby!

Michelle - Wow what a fantastic day in lovely surroundings. Becky was great and explained everything and then let us play!!! I am thrilled with my goodies and the service after the course which continues now. This is one course that was worth every penny and I would like to go on it again!

Elaine - If you want a great day out, lovely surroundings and amazing results that can be created by fusing glass this is the one for you. It is the ideal way to try a new hobby, without the outlay of all the equipment, to see if you enjoy it. But be warned it is addictive, and you will be back for more. It may even change your life (for the better). It has mine!!

Shan - A stimulating and enjoyable day, with a great sense of achievement thanks to Becky's patient and good-humoured teaching. Excellent value as you get to keep everything you make! I would heartily recommend it.

Lyn - I had no idea of what I was letting myself in for but it soon became apparent that I would enjoy the day as the atmosphere was relaxing and Becky is a good tutor. She offered just the right amount of assistance after she taught us the basics and gave us encouragement to create our own works of art. I was thoroughly impressed with my efforts and was totally amazed at the items I produced. I will definately be going back in the Spring.
