A weekend course covering all the basics of fusing and slumping using Bullseye glass, designed for beginners and intermediate levels. We will cover the following:
Cutting and grinding sheet glass.
Colour overlays to achieve different effects.
Using confetti, frit and stringers and making components to decorate your panels.
Inclusions and special effects using metal foils and bubble powders.
How to achieve different textures in your glass.
Assembling panels suitable for hanging or slumping into a vessel shape.
Kiln preparation, firing schedules and glass compatibility.
Sandblasting and drilling glass.
Look at the products available to enable you to hang and present finished pieces.
I have a wide range of glass and specialist equipment to enable you to design and make something completely unique to take home with you. During the two days you will be able to complete several pieces for hanging or framing and a piece suitable for slumping into a mould. Detailed course notes will be provided. The course will provide a sound introduction for those of you who would like to start a new and exciting hobby, or simply relax and enjoy something rewarding and creative.

Fused Glass Workshops My glass supplier Warm Glass at Wrington is continuing their inspirational class programme for 2010 including some world renowned glass artists. I will be teaching some Adventure and Foundation classes in their amazing workshop. It is a great space for learning, networking, swapping ideas and generally having fun with glass! here.
